Archontariki  resident chef, Mr. Harris Makryloukas studied for 2 years at the institute of Hotel and catering services in Nicosia.

After completing his diploma he then went on and completed a one-year course in Tourism and Business Management in Athens, and then went on and attended a college in Lyons where he completed a one-year course specializing in gourmet cooking. In 1998 he achieved first place in the Cyprus National finals, for young Chefs, winning  Gold in Gourmet cooking, decoration and presentation..
